EFT and Stress Management with Jo Clark and Jessica Read

EFT and Stress Management with Jessica Read

When we think of stress it's often associated with big life events such as death, divorce or illness. Yet, in midlife according to the the British Medical Journal one in three perimenopausal women had severe psychological symptoms compared to one in four who had severe physical symptoms such as severe hot flushes. It’s an important topic, to put it lightly and Jess Read joins Jo on the Podcast today to chat about:

  • The impact of stress on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and long-term health. How some stress is necessary, how society normalises stress and why it is not always something to be scared of.

  • Historical reasons for stress compared to our modern day world (beware of that sabretooth tiger telling us we are in danger!)

  • Fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses in association with stress and actions we can take to teach our system to regulate effectively.

  • Reprogramming our amygdala and bringing our awareness to effectively disconnect links to emotions to create safety and relaxation.

This conversation is an important opportunity to assess our stress and gain important insight into why it should not be ignored in our midlife.
