The Road to Children with Meg Parkinson
Deciding if or when to have a baby is a big decision for most women. With so many layers attached, there's no black or white answer, and every single woman will have her own unique set of circumstances to take into account. Today’s guest has an incredible story to share on her road to children and the twists and turns that she took in order to get her happy ending. It was after a relationship breakup in her early 30’s that a colleague asked Meg if she was worried that she wouldn’t have children of her own. This hadn’t even occurred to Meg, she thought that she would meet someone one day, and they would start a family. Though, as her 30’s sped by and became her 40’s, she realised that even though there were sometimes men around to date she didn’t feel like having children with any of them. She still wasn’t too worried, her mother and grandmother had children naturally in their early 40’s, she was just following a family tradition. Listen in as I chat with Meg and talk about:
Remote living and the lessons it can teach you for later in life.
IVF as a single, midlife woman and the long process that she went through.
How finding people to support you through difficult times can be an absolute blessing.
The emotional rollercoaster and dealing with difficult hurdles.
Finding strength in who you are as a person and learning what you want out of life.
There is no doubt Meg’s journey is one of inspiration and hope and I encourage you to support and follow her work via Facebook and her Website.
