Yalari Education and Changing the World with Jo Clark and Llew Mullins

It takes a whole community to educate children who prosper in life and education is the key to closing the gap. Today’s guest has an inspirational success story about doing exactly that. Llew Mullins is humble and quietly spoken, incredibly talented, hard-working and fiercely determined in all that she does. Llew is the Managing Director of Yalari - a not-for-profit organisation that offers quality, secondary education scholarships at leading Australian boarding schools for Indigenous children from regional and remote communities. Listen as Llew and I chat about:

  • Rockstar status, purpose and connection, writing music, storytelling with surprises around all the corners.

  • Awareness for supporting others from a young age and cultivating that need.

  • Providing scholarships and opportunities in a simplistic, tangible and easy to understand approach.

  • The power and momentum that comes with showing a child that you believe in them.

Llew’s story stretches far beyond the conversation within this Podcast and her impact is significant. It’s not often that the light is shone on Llew and I thank her for her time and being so open with sharing her life with us.  Yalari is truly an organisation like no other. I’ve had the absolute honour of experiencing Yalari firsthand. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting the hard-working staff, the incredible students, and young men and women who are alumni.
