How To Eat A Shit Sandwich... And Keep Smiling with Jo Clark and Annette Densham

Annette is described as a weaver of words according to the wide world of the internet and the conversation for the Podcast today certainly weaves its way through mystical storytelling, wisdom and an array of topics alongside. With a gypsy as a mother, Annette sought refuge in stories. By the time she was 17 she’d lived in 96 houses.  The books in the library became her best friends and it was no surprise when she chose to go into journalism, the perfect career for her inquisitive and curious mind. Listen as Annette and I dive into conversation about:

  • Calling out bad behaviour in an industry that doesn’t appreciate when you’re a ‘little too gregarious’. How that changed Annette’s outlook and career trajectory.

  • Renting spaces in our mind, especially when times are tough. Not moving in. Having the moment, injecting a little humour and moving on.

  • The gift and love of reading. How it expands your imagination, takes you to another place and the importance of reading within Annette’s past, present and future.

  • Hitting rock bottom. Finding a guardian angel is the most unlikely of places and refreshing your life with swagger.

  • Giving freely without expectation of return.

  • Getting comfortable with the ebb and flow of change because more often than not, things work out.

This conversation is thoroughly enjoyable and will likely make you smirk from ear to ear. Annette’s company is one that will leave a lasting impression and warm your heart for many moments to come. To find out more about Annette you can visit her website https://theaudaciousagency.com/
