Breadcrumbs of Excellence with Faith Agugu
If you want to shift your inner dialogue about ageing, Faith Agugu is the woman to have in your corner. She is an Australian leader in the global positive ageing movement and the visionary behind Silver Sirens, a 50+ community which imagines ageing as something you walk towards and embrace. After migrating from her native Nigeria and attending school in London, Faith spent three decades of her earlier years in the fashion industry, working as a catwalk model, and launched her own business, Raw Fashion Agency, in her new home country, Australia. Listen in to hear Faith’s incredible life story. The points discussed include:
How innovation and leadership appeared in childhood and continued throughout her life.
Letting go of relationships when you have outgrown them.
Being a childless woman and the emotional distress, grief, and depression that Faith experienced at the time.
Rehabilitation after heavy alcohol use and getting herself back on track.
Forced menopause through hysterectomy.
Being absolutely comfortable with her age and leading the way for women across the world.
Faith suggests that we get out of our own way and smash through the beliefs that it is too late to begin. I encourage you to find out more about Silver Sirens at www.silversirens.org.
